Every day in my clinic I help men and women turn off, or turn down, their liking for a particular food.  A food which is causing an impact in their life, so for example they might be on a weight loss journey and try as they might they can’t seem to get to the end point they want.  Or they have successfully lost the weight but also have a history of yo-yoing in their weight.  Or they develop a health issue like diabetes, cholesterol or a food intolerance.  In many cases the very foods you aren’t supposed to be eating (and you already know what you aren’t supposed to be eating) are the very foods you really enjoy eating.  It could be sugar, it could be chocolate, wine, cheese, salty snacks or something else.  And let’s face it life is too short to be constantly depriving yourself of something you really like: it’s just not consistently achievable or sustainable.   And willpower and discipline are way over-rated!  So maybe the best way to go is to Stop Your Food Cravings – because then it’s not about depriving yourself, or having strong will-power!
